I have done three very different webcomics in my time.
Just recently I started a new strip, entitled Life of Ronnie, based loosely on some of the misadventures that make up my life, family and friends. This is something very exciting for me that i have been planning for some time. I hope you like it!
Survivor: The Comic Series was a seasonal parody of one of my favorite television shows -- Survivor!
For the second and third seasons of the show, I was doing Flash animated parodies and having a hoot doing it, but starting with season 4 (Marquesas) I decided to try something different. Inspired by one of my favorite webcomics, Scott Kurtz's PvP, I switched over to a 4-panel webcomic format.
And really, I never looked back! The series was a big hit with fans of the show, and I am proud to have gotten many great comments from the Survivors themselves. Word is that everyone involved with the show read it. That was really, really cool.
After a few seasons of Survivor: The Comic Series, I was craving something new. Something to call my own, rather than just a hilarious sendup of someone else's television property. Something I could work on for a long time and develop into more than a comic, in time...
That's where The Adventures of Poutine: Nefarious Space Pirate came in.
While I have only completed one, 108-strip season of Poutine, it remains something I love.
It was great to do something so different than my Survivor comics. A totally different challenge. You haven't seen the last of Poutine, Wasabi, SketchBot, Indiana, Ack, or Phoebe. Not by a long shot!
